Tai Chi
Discover the Health Benefits of Tai Chi:
Reduce the stress of today’s busy lifestyles and improve your heath. Tai Chi is sometimes described as “meditation in motion”, connecting the mind and body. Originally developed in ancient China for self-defense, Tai Chi is now practiced for stress reduction and to help with a variety of heath conditions.
Chen style:
There are many different styles of Tai Chi. Regardless of the style you choose, all styles include rhythmic patterns of movement that are coordinated with the breathing to help you achieve a sense of inner calm. The style we teach is the Chen style, which dates back over 3,000 years. Chen style is the first Tai Chi system developed at the Chen Village in the Henan province of China.
Who can learn Tai Chi?:
Anyone! Since Tai Chi is low impact, it is suitable for all ages. Because the forms are gentle and suitable for everyone, and emphasize technique over strength, you can practice Tai Chi regardless of your age or physical ability. All forms of Taijiquan have basic similarities, and are all very beneficial to health and fitness.
