To help build strong leaders at school, at work, and in the community following the traditional Tang Soo Do values of integrity, honor, and loyalty, and instilling family values in each of our students through the professionalism and caring of our instructors.

“Little Dragons today, leaders tomorrow”.

Our specialized Little Dragons Program is an age-specific curriculum that is professionally designed to teach children important life skills in a fun, exciting and enriching manner. Our secret to teaching your child coordination, concentration and self-control is a unique method we like to call “Edu-tainment.” This philosophy utilizes the excitement and fun of the Little Dragons Martial Arts skills to teach key life lessons that you would want your child to know.

Your child will learn more than just how to kick and punch. Little Dragon activities show children the benefits of good behavior, but best of all, our curriculum will help them see the value of teamwork, good manners, and trying their best in and outside of the classroom. Our mission: to build self- esteem & confidence in every child! This is the foundation for future success in all aspect of life.

An Alternative to Sports

In years past, practice of the martial arts was limited to male adults. As the martial arts spread to countries outside of the Orient it has become acceptable for women and children to train. As we progress even further, we now see that accepting children as young as 5 years old is beneficial both physically and mentally as long as the program is geared towards their skill and comprehension levels.

Each year, the demand by parents for children to participate in sports is growing. Many parents are embracing the martial arts as an alternative to sports. In addition to toning the body, martial arts training also enhances the capabilities of the mind. Our dojangs (martial arts schools) are seeing younger and younger children enroll every day. The Little Dragons program was created to assist these children in their growth.

Through our efforts to improve the quality of our programs here at the Dubuque Karate Club we have developed a program for our younger children, ages approximately 5 through 7 and 8 through 12, to assist them in their readiness for the formal training of older practitioners.

The benefits of a martial arts training program for children have been proven to contribute tremendously to a young child's positive character and many other areas of their lives.

It is our belief that the traditional values we instill and the standards of our program will improve the quality of your child's life.

Little Dragon Program

Our Little Dragon Program will provide children 5 to 7 years old an exciting and fun program that will introduce them to the world of martial arts.

This program will develop self-control, self-discipline, respect and positive family values.

Parents love our Little Dragon Program because every month we teach our classes new "Life Skills" such as, Respect, Honor, Integrity, Goal Setting, etc.

Children build strong Healthy bodies in a friendly family environment, with professional instructors as role models.

Our instructors are professional's dedicated to your child's growth and advancement in the art of Tang Soo Do. You will see your child progress in just a few short months, improve focus, self-control, improve school study habits, and more.

Our Little Dragon Program is an excellent program that will begin your child's journey in the path towards reaching their goals in Tang Soo Do.

All of our instructors are certified members of the American Tang Soo Karate Institute, a nationally recognized organization for over 40 years.
